March has been celebrated as Women’s History Month since 1987. At Northwest Missouri State University, for the first time, we are celebrating through the Women’s Leadership Summit: Inspire, Connect and Empower.

Northwest’s Women’s History Month celebration continues with a movie night, featuring ‘ Hidden figures’. Three brilliant African-American women at NASA -- Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation's confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world. Post-movie discussion will led by a panel- Terra Fieck, Terry Immel, Sherry Harper and Denise Neal.
